Deer Hill Announcements
Why not help at the Osgood Book Fair or chair a PSO-sponsored event at the Deer Hill, or perhaps a Science Fair?
"Over the past two years, the idea of hosting a Deer Hill Science Fair has beenbounced around. Many parents have voiced enthusiasm for participating in such an event but it would be terrific if a parent or team of parents came forward to pioneer and chair it. The age of the Deer Hill children is ideal for nurturing and motivatingstudents to think about science. Who can imagine what might come from the minds of these incredible kids?" D'Anne Avotins, Deer Hill PSO President
Mission
The main goal of the Deer Hill PSO is to support the teachers and administration of the Deer Hill School in their efforts to provide a world-class learning environment for our students.
One of the ways the PSO accomplishes this goal is by fundraising -- whether through direct fundraising efforts or by assisting Deer Hill organizations, including the Camp Bournedale Committee, in their fundraising.
We provide direct support to teachers and administration in many ways including, but not limited to, funding and arranging Curriculum Enrichment events, providing needed resources or classroom materials, arranging teacher appreciation events throughout the year, or simply providing flowers or coffee for school events.
A specific goal for the academic year 2009-2010 is to assist the Deer Hill administration in holding an annual Science Fair. |
